Visuals by Andrew O’Connor
Mahmood Schricker, Chernilo, Haris Javed and Andrew O’Connor kick off a free new series of live performances with visuals. Experience a solo electric setar set by Schricker, solo live PA by Chernilo and a DJ set by Haris enhanced by Andrew O’Connor’s brilliant live visuals.
Infinite Jest is about new combinations, play and creativity. Electronic artists, DJs and visual artists coalesce at Reverie on the Park on College Street monthly to share experimental, electronic and world music. Link Music Lab is proud to present this free series centred on taking risks and introducing artists and creators.
Mahmood Schricker @mahmoodschricker focusses on integrating minimal ambient and dub sounds with Persian melodies, having transformed the setar into an electronic instrument to expand the possibilities for Persian music.
Producer and composer Chernilo @i_am_chernilo (formerly known as MAKS) focuses on contemporary electronic art and various sub-genres in the vein of techno and the more ambient.
Global rhythms, beats and deep house meld with Haris Javed’s @mharisjaved personal love for traditional dance music motifs grounded in his work with the Tawoos Initiative, which aims to connect people with and promote independent, urban artists from South Asia.
Media artist Andrew O’Connor @aaapoc meticulously crafts enigmatic realms through an experimental blend of digital and analogue processes to accompany live performance exploring collage, projection mapping and live visuals.
